Our Materials and Process Engineering Department is seeking a qualified Materials Engineer to support hardware design, development, and production activities, focusing on metallurgy, materials evaluation, and failure analysis.

Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate materials and processes for conformance to specifications and design requirements.
  2. Collaborate with design teams on material and finish selections.
  3. Support production and supplier activities.
  4. Resolve technical and operational issues related to materials.
  5. Participate in analysis and documentation for material alternatives and failure investigations.
  6. Manage tasks within schedule constraints.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related; 5+ years experience, or 9+ years without degree.
  • Experience with metals, alloys, and manufacturing methods.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with defense programs, engineering drawings, supplier evaluation, industry standards, corrosion, analysis techniques, project milestones, and leadership in failure analysis.
Additional Information:

The salary range is $82,000 - $164,000. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), flexible schedules, and more. This is a U.S.-based role, and U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.
