Job summary

VAERO in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an MRB Administrator to support the Material Review Board (MRB) and related quality processes. The role involves processing non-conforming material records, preparing case records, and coordinating with customers and internal teams to drive disposition actions.

The successful candidate will handle NCR packages, generate reports, maintain MRB inventory and files, and assist in implementing corrective actions across materials, parts and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Provides timely processing of non-conforming material records (NMR), forms, scrap tags and rework.
• Prepares case records and submits to customer for disposition action.
• Develops status reports and related customer documents; verifies NCR packages meet requirements.
• Maintains MRB area inventory, logs, files and ensures accuracy for audits.
• Generates and distributes reports; maintains records and files as necessary.
• Maintains liaison with other departments, customer reps and suppliers to address MRB issues.
• Investigates customer or internal quality problems and helps implement corrective actions.

Job description

Summary: Works under the general supervision of the Director of Engineering & Quality Assurance, designee with a minimum of supervision to perform a variety of administrative tasks associated with the Material Review Board (MRB) and MRB Crib.

• Provides direct timely and accurate processing of non-conforming material records (NMR), forms, scrap tags and rework, including real-time statusing of NMRs as required by contract and specific work order numbers. Prepares case record documents and submits to customer for disposition action, as directed.
• Develops and prepares various status reports and customer documents related to non-conforming material. Performs checks of Non-conforming Report (NCR) packages to ensure program contractual requirements/reports are accomplished in an accurate and timely manner. Performs follow-up evaluations of the effectiveness and implementation of recommended corrective actions.
• Maintains inventory of items in the MRB area, including records, logs, files and inventory lists. Ensures accuracy and availability of same for review and /or audit. Assists other company personnel in the evaluation of non-conforming materials, parts and assemblies.
• Reviews scrap tags and dispose of materials as required per company policy and procedure and contractual requirements.
• Follow instructions of the material review board. Generate and distribute reports, as directed. Maintain records, logs and files as necessary.
• Maintain effective liaison with other departments and personnel, customer representatives and supplies to furnish or obtain information needed to address issues in the MRB function.
• Assist customer representatives, suppliers and company personnel in the evaluation of non-conforming materials, parts or assemblies. Assist company personnel to assure corrective action is implemented.
• Investigate and correct customer problems or internal quality process problems which are not referred to the material review board, as directed. Develop solutions which may require inspection techniques, process investigations and problem-solving techniques.
