SUMMARY

The Senior Analyst is a thought partner with Account Executives in developing and executing integrated, client-focused marketing and advertising solutions. The Senior Research Analyst proactively provides industry insights ensuring business needs and client objectives are being addressed for designated teams as well as Regional and Division initiatives. Must be able to effectively communicate complex data with concise storytelling and impactful analysis/visualization. The Senior Analyst must stay ahead of advertising trends, including digital advertising and emerging technologies within the competitive media landscape. The candidate must work well in a fast-paced environment and communicate clearly with Account Executives and cross-functional teams.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Customized Client Strategies and Solutions
  2. Support information gathering and analysis of clients, market conditions, competitive analysis, and digital opportunities.
  3. Localize marketing materials with market-specific research information and insights.
  4. Develop customized insights for all Key and Target accounts in partnership with Sales.
  5. Provide localized materials using quantitative and qualitative resources.
  6. Lead cross-functional brainstorm sessions, research, develop, and write case studies.
  7. Lead local market level research projects.
  8. Aggregate syndicated research data to support client needs.
  9. Arm sales with ratings analysis to inform rates and opportunities, including Nielsen, comScore, and proprietary Set Top Box data.
  10. Proactively track programming to identify opportunities, and maximize revenues.
  11. Provide rating estimates and collaborate on high-profile programming to support pricing.
  12. Create one-sheets highlighting successes of networks and programming, including Spectrum News and Sports.
  13. Provide competitive media spend information via Kantar, Media Monitors, etc.
  14. Assist in developing market share and spending analysis.
  15. Develop proficiency in using set-top box data for client schedule recommendations.
  16. Use Polk data to provide market intelligence and demonstrate sales opportunities.
  17. Ensure accuracy of market coverage maps and Universe Estimates.
  18. Digital Sales Support & Product Activation
  19. Develop relationships within Digital Sales to support growth.
  20. Assist in developing digital strategies and multi-platform client solutions.
  21. Provide feedback to Digital Sales for execution of digital products.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 5+ years in Media Research
  2. Nielsen Local Market experience preferred
  3. Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research and datasets for ad sales positioning
  4. Mapping experience
  5. comScore TVE/SVE experience preferred
  6. Expertise in data aggregation, Excel formulas, and PivotTables
  7. IAB Certification preferred
  8. comScore Media Metrix Certification preferred
  9. Google Analytics Certifications preferred
EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree Preferred
