SUMMARY

The Senior Analyst is a strategic partner with Account Executives in developing and executing integrated, client-focused marketing and advertising solutions. The Senior Research Analyst proactively provides industry insights to ensure that business needs and client objectives are met across designated teams and regional initiatives. The role requires effective communication of complex data through impactful storytelling, analysis, and visualization. The Senior Analyst must stay ahead of advertising trends, including digital advertising and emerging technologies, within a competitive and fragmented media landscape. The candidate should be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and communicating clearly with Account Executives and cross-functional teams.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Customized Client Strategies and Solutions
  2. Support data gathering and analysis of clients, market conditions, competitive landscape, and digital opportunities.
  3. Localize marketing materials with market-specific research insights.
  4. Develop tailored insights for key and target accounts in collaboration with the Sales team.
  5. Provide localized materials using quantitative and qualitative data.
  6. Lead cross-functional brainstorm sessions, research, develop, and write case studies.
  7. Manage local market-level research projects.
  8. Aggregate syndicated research data to support client needs.
  9. Arm sales teams with ratings analysis to inform rates and identify opportunities, utilizing Nielsen, comScore, and proprietary Set Top Box data.
  10. Proactively monitor programming to identify opportunities, build client relationships, and maximize revenue.
  11. Provide rating estimates and collaborate with Pricing & Planning and Sales Management for high-profile programming to support competitive pricing.
  12. Create one-sheets highlighting the success of cable networks and programming, including Spectrum News and Sports.
  13. Provide competitive media spend information via Kantar, Media Monitors, etc.
  14. Assist in developing market share and spending analyses.
  15. Develop proficiency in using set-top box data for client scheduling recommendations.
  16. Utilize Polk data to offer clients additional market intelligence and demonstrate sales opportunities.
  17. Ensure accuracy of market coverage maps and Universe Estimates (UEs).
  18. Digital Sales Support & Product Activation
  19. Build and maintain relationships with Digital Sales to promote digital growth.
  20. Assist in developing digital strategies and multi-platform client solutions in collaboration with Digital Sales.
  21. Provide ongoing feedback to support execution of digital products.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 5+ years of experience in Media Research.
  2. Experience with Nielsen Local Market preferred.
  3. Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research and ad sales positioning using datasets.
  4. Mapping experience.
  5. Experience with comScore TVE/SVE preferred.
  6. Expertise in data aggregation, Microsoft Excel formulas, and PivotTables.
  7. IAB Certification preferred.
  8. comScore Media Metrix Certification preferred.
  9. Google Analytics Certifications preferred.
EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
