Overview
Verkada is going after a $100B TAM in a market that is stuck in the 1990s by reinventing physical security in the cloud with natively integrated, AI enabled devices. With competitors' outdated technology, each location has an on-prem server-based solution, which is clearly not scalable across hundreds of locations. The experience is so bad that sometimes IT folks have to travel on-site just to retrieve surveillance footage on a thumb drive. Needless to say, customers are dissatisfied, and they demand a modern solution.
Countless other industries have gone through transformations from disjointed, outdated tech to modern end-to-end solutions. We saw it happen with cell phones - the old Nokia brick-style phones that took several minutes to pull up one email were replaced by iPhones, supercomputers that can fit in your pocket. Annual Pay Range
At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)
Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
