Position: Manufacturing Engineer (2nd Shift)
Location: Andover, MA (AN2).
Shift: 2nd shift with 8% shift premium.
This role requires a U.S. citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance. Security clearance status and travel requirements are part of the prerequisites.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and review Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
- Support a manufacturing area as part of a cross‑functional team, guiding the production team through process troubleshooting and incorporating engineering changes into the MDP.
- Disposition non‑conforming material; conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement through process improvements to reduce cycle time, ergonomic risk, and costs, using CORE principles and data‑driven decision making.
- Provide real‑time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators—both in‑house and at the supply base.
- Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence.
- Travel as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field; minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including 1+ year in manufacturing.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Secret).
- Knowledge and application of Six Sigma and/or DFMA principles.
- Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preferred CREO/ProE) and/or simulation tools.
- Experience with designing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated tooling and machinery.
- Experience with refurbishment/repair or warranty processing of Government Furnished Material (GFM) or Equipment (GFE).
Compensation
Salary range: 68,900USD –131,100USD.
