Job summary

Backblaze is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineering leader to hire, mentor, and guide a high-performing team that drives reliability and automation across our storage infrastructure.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and customer success to align priorities with customer needs and SLA commitments, while managing vendor relationships and driving operational excellence across the org.

• Develop and improve automation that accelerates deployment of storage vaults and infrastructure.
• Own and improve vulnerability management and patching schedules.
• Lead analysis of SLA and reliability performance, driving corrective actions.
• Partner with engineering, customer success, product, and operations teams to support resilient system design.
• Engage with customers to understand their reliability needs and ensure priorities reflect customer experiences.
• Work with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot issues and monitor SLA performance.
