As a leader and contributor with vision, you will provide technology expertise, solutions, and help improve by recruiting and hiring top engineering talent. You will work with product owners to articulate the benefits of proposed solutions, influence the technical roadmap, and help prioritize work. This position requires a passion for technology strategy and adoption, including digital technologies, cloud hosting, and open-source software.

Responsibilities

1. Guide software engineering teams responsible for designing and delivering high-quality software for critical business features, built on native cloud technology to the latest standards.
2. Collaborate with Architecture, Data, Product, and Enterprise teams to advance these products and platforms.
3. Define patterns and deliver technology enabling configuration-based deployments using standard pipelines for consumer experiences within Anywhere.
4. Establish best practices for logging and monitoring production systems to ensure success based on business expectations.
5. Work with product owners to communicate benefits of solutions, influence the technical roadmap, and prioritize business work.
6. Research, implement, and promote standard processes; share knowledge across teams and the organization.
7. Define and pursue an end state emphasizing simplicity, digital technology adoption, cloud hosting, and open-source software.
8. Assist in designing new applications and estimating efforts for application development.
9. Provide technology thought leadership and help attract top engineering talent.
10. Address issues impacting design, sales success, or future concepts, products, or technologies.
11. Work with complex ideas and situations across business and functional areas.

Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience.
2. 10+ years in software engineering, development, design, DevOps, with some experience as a solution/data architect.
3. Minimum 4+ years managing and developing engineering teams.
4. Experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
5. 8+ years working with the MEAN stack: Angular, NodeJS, Express, MongoDB Atlas.
6. 8+ years as a Node.js developer building microservices and RESTful APIs.
7. 4+ years in DevOps, developing deployment pipelines.
8. Strong belief in thorough testing, resiliency, monitoring, documentation, and collaboration.
9. Deep knowledge of solution patterns and applicable frameworks.
10. Effective communication with product, business, and management teams.
11. Skills in project management, financial oversight, vendor relations, and applying technology to solve business problems.
12. Understanding of organizational goals and objectives.
13. Experience with Agile methodologies.
14. Values truth and evidence over ego.
