Sr Manager - Software Engineering - US Remote

As a leader and contributor with vision, you will provide technology expertise, solutions, and help improve by recruiting and hiring top engineering talent. You will work with product owners to articulate the benefits of proposed solutions, influence the technical roadmap, and help prioritize work. This position requires a passion for technology strategy and adoption, including digital technologies, cloud hosting, and open-source software.

Responsibilities

1. Guide software engineering teams responsible for designing and delivering high-quality software for critical business features, built on native cloud tech to the newest technology standards.
2. Collaborate with Architecture, Data, Product, and Enterprise partners to drive these products and platforms forward.
3. Define patterns and deliver technology enabling configuration-based deployments using standard pipelines for consumer experiences within Anywhere.
4. Create best practices for logging and monitoring production consumer systems to ensure success based on business expectations.
5. Work with product owners to articulate benefits of solutions, influence the technical roadmap, and help prioritize work.
6. Research, implement, and promote standard processes; share knowledge across teams and the organization.
7. Define and drive towards an end state based on simplicity, digital adoption, cloud hosting, and open-source software.
8. Assist in designing new applications and estimating effort levels for development tasks.
9. Provide technology thought leadership and help raise the talent bar by recruiting top engineering talent.
10. Address issues impacting design, sales, or future concepts, products, or technologies.
11. Work on complex ideas and issues across business and functional areas.

Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
2. 10+ years of experience in software engineering, development, design, DevOps, and solution/data architecture with hands-on expertise.
3. At least 4+ years of people management experience in a software development organization.
4. Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
5. 8+ years with the MEAN Stack: Angular, NodeJS, Express, MongoDB Atlas.
6. 8+ years as a Node.js developer building microservices and RESTful services.
7. 4+ years in DevOps and pipeline development for deployment.
8. Strong belief in thorough testing, resiliency, monitoring, documentation, and collaboration.
9. Extensive knowledge of solution patterns and frameworks.
10. Experience partnering with product, business, and management teams.
11. Proven project management, financial, and vendor management skills.
12. Understanding of organizational goals and objectives.
13. Experience with Agile methodologies.
