Job Description

We seek a dynamic, technically savvy Senior Manager to lead our engineering teams on the Lead Platform products, focusing on building systems and processes from the ground up. These products manage incoming family inquiries, including lead capture, routing, and tracking functionalities, ensuring efficient lead management and optimal family experiences.

Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering – Lead Platform, you will be a strategic and hands-on leader, building robust capabilities that enable our senior living advisors to deliver exceptional service. This role suits someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership, and sees change as an opportunity for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Encourage experimentation with new technologies, build proofs of concept, and present findings.
• Collaborate with cross-team leaders to understand dependencies and drive system improvements.

• Define and execute the technical strategy and roadmap, tracking success metrics.
• Develop engineers through personal development plans and recruit top talent.
• Work with product partners to meet company objectives and influence technical direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or 3+ years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years leading high-performance engineering teams.
• Experience with modern, high-traffic applications and backend services, preferably using Node/TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of project management tools like Jira.
• Data-driven decision-making skills with metrics and analytics.
• Knowledge of API architecture (REST, GraphQL) and data storage solutions (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, define clear directions, and align teams.
• Experience in Agile environments and SDLC practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with AI-driven development is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $150,000 - $170,000 + 20% Bonus
• Benefits include 401(k) with match, dental, health, vision insurance, and paid time off.
