Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is seeking a hands-on SR Manager Quality in Flint, MI to lead quality initiatives across cross-dock and warehouse operations supporting General Motors in a high-volume environment.

You will drive audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with customer and company standards. You will coach a quality team, analyze metrics, and partner with Operations, Safety, and Customer teams to resolve issues and raise performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in quality, warehousing, logistics, automotive, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections, and root cause investigations.
• Experience supporting shipping, receiving, inventory control, cross-dock, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office, reporting tools, and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily quality activities across cross-dock, warehouse, and material handling operations.
• Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements, procedures, and work instructions.
• Lead quality inspections, audits, and corrective action processes.
• Investigate quality concerns, discrepancies, variances, and customer complaints.
• Analyze quality metrics, identify trends and root causes, and drive improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans.

• Monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, quality performance, and process compliance.
• Provide coaching, performance management, and development for quality team members.
