About the Role

Reporting to the Director, Procurement, the Sr. Manager Procurement – Professional Services (i.e., Travel, Consulting, Legal, Risk) will be responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and execution of the assigned categories. This role will support Gap Inc’s NextGen Procurement Transformation, advancing cross-functional engagement and shaping the future of Procurement.

The Sr. Manager will establish partnerships across Gap and with suppliers to collaborate, influence, and be a creative thought partner that consistently delivers value. The Sr. Manager should lead and inspire by focusing on the development, implementation, and execution of sourcing strategies and processes across Procurement, to enable a competitive advantage and maximize the functional ROI for Gap Inc. This role will lead 2-4 category managers.

What You'll Do
  1. Value Capture - Oversee development and execution of procurement strategies for the Professional Services categories. Responsible for achieving procurement savings targets (P&L, Capital, and Non-P&L). Create and manage a multi-year pipeline of projects that deliver annual value. Seek industry best practices and innovative solutions to enhance procurement value creation.
  2. Sourcing Rigor - Promote a competitive bid culture for Professional Services projects by applying advanced levers and transforming team workflows.
  3. Category Management - Develop deep category strategies that translate into actionable multi-year sourcing plans. Build and develop high-performing category management teams.
  4. Procurement Technology and Advanced Sourcing Capabilities - Possess strong understanding and experience with procurement technologies (e.g., spend analytics, sourcing, eAuction, CLM). Maintain in-depth spend analytics, category segmentation, and supplier profiling to identify opportunities and enable category management.
  5. Build and strengthen strategic relationships - Partner across functions (Travel, Consulting, Legal, Risk Management) and with senior stakeholders, external suppliers, and colleagues to drive results and manage complex change.
  6. Leverage strong influencing skills - Balance speed, priorities, and urgency while proactively considering alternatives and driving critical thinking to optimize results.
Who You Are
  • Experience – 6-8 years in Procurement within a global company, focusing on category management and execution. Demonstrate strategic thinking and experience in category management.
  • Sourcing Capability - Extensive experience in driving results through category strategies, market knowledge, collaboration, and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Drive for Results - Ability to navigate ambiguity, lead others, and achieve high performance and sustainable results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Change Leadership - Experience influencing without authority and driving decision-making, questioning 'What If?' and 'Why not?'.
  • In-depth expertise in Category Management - Knowledge of industry best practices through engagement with experts, associations, peers, and partners.
