Job description

RB Global, Inc., is seeking a Senior IT Procurement Manager to join our team. This position can be located anywhere in the United States or Canada. Occasional travel to a local facility is required.

The Senior Procurement Manager will focus on driving savings and managing a team responsible for the category performance of several categories, including, but not limited to: IT Telecom; IT Software; IT Hardware; IT Peripherals; IT SaaS; IT Asset Management; IT Professional Services Agreements; P2P system management; Corporate Services; and others as needed. Key activities include managing vendors, negotiating contracts, conducting RFPs, utilizing and managing P2P systems, conducting QBRs, budget and reporting management, and implementing strategic sourcing activities. Key skills and experience required include project management, strong analytics, conducting RFPs, and category management.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

• Manage a team and categories globally to drive savings, improve processes, and meet key performance indicators, including compliance and contract monitoring in line with RB Global policies.
• Develop RFIs and RFPs, conduct in-depth analytics across multiple systems and divisions/countries.
• Provide category recommendations, counter-proposals, and negotiate to achieve savings, maintaining product quality and reducing costs.
• Develop compliance monitoring programs to ensure measurable and successful implementation strategies.
• Review and provide recommendations to the Vice President of Procurement and senior leadership, developing best-in-class category strategies.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels, understanding their needs and ensuring category strategies meet them.
• Support procurement policies and processes, including vendor payment terms, contract management, sustainability initiatives, and vendor management.
• Draft and review vendor contracts, including SOWs, MSAs, and addendums.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations to ensure adherence to policies and best practices.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement processes and reporting.
• Establish strong vendor relationships, facilitate communication, and ensure products/services meet company requirements.
• Evaluate suppliers and work to reduce vendor risk through scorecards and performance analysis.

• Ability to work independently and proactively across multiple groups and levels.
• Experience managing indirect procurement categories and utilizing strategic sourcing processes.
• Expert financial and analytical skills, leveraging market data, supply chain improvements, and cost modeling.
• Strong project management skills with experience managing timelines and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, Finance, Operations, or related field preferred.
• Decision-making with integrity aligned with organizational conduct and financial interests.
• Sourcing expertise in IT categories and vendor location.
• Extensive knowledge of contract principles and procedures.
• Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong administrative and project management skills.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Indirect strategic sourcing experience required.

Preferred Skills:

• Five years of full-time experience in vendor negotiations, expense analysis, and strategic sourcing.
• Experience with procurement and vendor management systems, including P2P, S2P, and spend analytics.
