Join to apply for the Sr. Manager, Process Improvement role at WestRock Company.

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Manager, Process Improvement, you will support the overall transformation of the newly unified company Customer Service function by driving critical initiatives. You will be a key member in our efforts to enhance optimization, further integrate our systems and processes, drive a consistent end-to-end view across customer service, and enable common systems and tools used to maximize our performance.

Supporting the transformation, you will assist in ensuring that we have the right capability to support the newly unified organization. In this capacity, you will bring together the right tools, processes, and metrics to support these very important initiatives. You will manage multiple projects and initiatives that align to the transformation. Leveraging Smurfit WestRock values, you will build and maintain solid relationships across all employee levels as we drive for change and improvements.

The role requires significant stakeholder engagement across the business. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead/manage change, effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization, collaborate with key stakeholders, and model the WestRock Key values and behaviors.

This position requires a self-starter who can work with limited direct supervision and is entrepreneurial in spirit. The role is remote, with minimal travel.

How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock:

  1. Responsible for driving optimization and efficiency using technology that provides solutions while enhancing the user experience of the customers.
  2. Support the overall transformation of the newly unified Consumer Packaging North America Customer Service organization.
  3. Enable company optimization through projects designed to integrate systems and functions.
  4. Cultivate relationships with Consumer Packaging key business leaders to understand the operation, functional priorities, and challenges.
  5. Liaise with the business and key stakeholders to understand the impacts of associated change on the function(s) and the organization.
  6. Act as a resource to leaders for strategic, tactical and consulting support.

What You Need to Succeed:

  1. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years progressive project management experience within Customer operation/customer service or a related field (For example: Customer service, Logistics, Operations, Strategy, and Business Development). Consumer packaging industry experience with demonstrated success strongly preferred. Candidates should possess an undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering or related field.
  2. Possess strategic mindset and project management skills to quickly establish rapport and credibility at all levels of the organization.
  3. Understanding of Process Improvement tools and techniques.
  4. Proficient in Alteryx, Radius, AS400, BPICS, or other ERP systems a plus.
  5. Experience effectively communicating with senior business leaders.
  6. Demonstrates initiative, drive, and determination to deliver results.
  7. Strong analytical skills and business acumen in order to influence stakeholders.
  8. Experience with a complex/growing organization.
