Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a Senior National Account Manager for Home Entertainment categories, serving as the primary Samsung contact with a large national retailer. You will lead cross-functional teams across operations, marketing, and merchandising to hit annual and quarterly sales, market share, and spend targets through our product programs.

You will own item sell-in, lifecycle management, pricing, promotions, and align on terms, forecasts, and online PDPs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field required.
  • 8+ years of experience selling Consumer Electronics to National Retailers preferred.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation abilities – expert in Excel, Access or Tableau beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve annual sales, market share, and commercial spend targets.
  • Own item sell-in, life cycle, sell-thru, pricing, and EOL for assigned items with customer alignment.
  • Develop and present Go-to-Market plans, and ensure promotional and online marketing alignment.
  • Forecast accuracy and WOS management; manage vendor terms and negotiations with the customer.
  • Customize sell-out presentations and materials for assigned customers, and report progress to leadership.

Role and Responsibilities

The Senior National Account Manager serves as the Samsung contact for Home Entertainment Categories for a large National Retailer. This individual is responsible for leading cross functional teams including operations, marketing, and merchandising support. They will be expected to achieve annual and quarterly sales, market share, and commercial spend targets through the sales of Samsung products and programs to assigned customers, and are involved in the planning and execution of category roadmaps to achieve pricing, promotion, shelving, and assortment objectives. The Senior National Account Manager reports to the Sales Director.

  • Develops and ensures alignment for annual business planning internally and with customer(s)
  • Is responsible for new item sell-in and throughout product life cycle (item setup, placements, sell-thru, forecasting, in-stock, pricing, EOL)
  • Ensures promotional alignment internally and with customer
  • Owns the business strategies for Samsung’s sales on the customer’s web site and PDPs
  • Leads annual vendor terms and commercial negotiations for assigned categories
  • Ensures online marketing alignment and actively communicates needs and support of the customer
  • Optimizes customer contribution for selected categories
  • Aligns with Sales Finance Manager on financial reconciliation
  • Builds Go-to-Market Marketing plans for products with the support of the Marketing Teams
  • Tracks target progress and conducts periodic reviews with customer
  • Supports the identification and development of selling strategies, tactics and solutions
  • Customizes sell-out presentations and other materials to the needs of assigned customers
  • Presents plans, recommendations, initiatives to gain internal executive leadership approval and external customer alignment
  • Manages commercial spend to achieve sales volume goals and trade spend goals
  • Responsible for FCST Achievement and analysis to improve WOS management
  • Deep understanding of National Retail activities and how to maximize the business.
  • Strategic and proactive thinker who develops innovative, and customer-focused solutions
  • End-to-end accountability for strategy, sales, marketing and operations
  • Contribution toward quarterly and annual sales targets for assigned customer(s)
  • Activation of department and category roadmap initiatives
  • Appropriate and accurate commercial spend management
  • High quality sell-out presentations and other customer materials
  • Significant contribution toward customer team success
  • Independent problem solver and collaborative decision making
  • Collaborative project management with cross functional business units
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a strong sense of urgency
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation abilities – expert in excel, access or tableau very beneficial
  • 8+ years of experience selling Consumer Electronics (preferred) to National Retailers
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field
  • Consumer Electronics industry experience
  • 8+ years of experience in sales or related field

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $151,000 and $186,500. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
