This role is responsible for meeting customer demand through manufacturing, supplier, and distribution network capabilities while ensuring optimal service levels, inventory performance, and working capital efficiency. The position leads the end-to-end supply planning process, translating demand signals into executable supply, inventory, and replenishment plans that support business objectives. The role coordinates and optimizes the flow of materials from internal manufacturing facilities and external suppliers through the North American distribution network to meet customer requirements while minimizing supply risk and operational disruptions. As a key leader within the Supply Chain organization, this leader will drive planning excellence through the development of robust supply planning processes, inventory strategies, capacity planning, and supply network optimization initiatives. This individual will be responsible for establishing planning discipline, improving supply plan attainment, increasing inventory productivity, and enhancing customer delivery performance across the region. This role will also lead the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, owning the Supply Review process and providing supply recommendations that influence key business decisions. Successful candidates will lead cross-functional alignment across Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Product Management, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure supply plans support business growth while effectively managing capacity, inventory investments, and supply constraints.

How You Will Do It
  • Lead North America-based Demand Planning and Supply Planning teams to execute demand forecasting, supply, replenishment, inventory, and supplier scheduling strategies that support customer service, inventory, and financial objectives.

  • Lead monthly Supply Review processes within the IBP framework, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, inventory, financial plans, and operational capabilities.
  • Drive short-term execution through active participation in Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE), resolving supply constraints, managing shortages, prioritizing customer requirements, and mitigating business risks.
  • Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies across manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and supplier networks to improve service levels, inventory turns, and working capital performance.
  • Establish and maintain supply planning policies, planning parameters, safety stock methodologies, replenishment strategies, and inventory governance processes.

  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics including inventory turns, days of supply, fill rates, plan attainment, supplier performance, forecast consumption, and customer service levels to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Commercial, Finance, and Product Management organizations to remove constraints and improve end-to-end supply chain performance.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving network optimization, inventory strategy, planning system improvements, supply resiliency, and operational transformation.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop planning professionals while demonstrating Johnson Controls Winning Behaviors: We focus on what matters; We win as one team; We own the outcome; We improve every day.
