Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a North America Demand & Supply Planning Manager to lead demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory strategy across the NA region. You will align manufacturing capacity, suppliers, and distribution to meet customer service goals and optimize working capital.

The role requires 8+ years in planning within complex manufacturing, strong leadership, and experience with IBP/S&OP and ERP tools such as Oracle and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Materials Management, Inventory Planning, and/or Supply Chain Planning in complex manufacturing.
• Experience leading end-to-end planning processes including forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and S&OP/IBP.
• Supervisory experience coaching, developing, and leading employees to continuously improve performance.
• Extensive knowledge of IBP, S&OP, S&OE, Forecasting, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, MRP, Inventory Management, Procurement, Materials Management, and Logistics.
• Experience using planning and ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, APO, Kinaxis, SAS, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Lean methodologies and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead North America-based Demand Planning and Supply Planning teams to execute forecasting, supply, replenishment, inventory, and supplier scheduling strategies.
• Translate demand plans into executable supply plans aligning capacity, supplier capabilities, inventory strategies, and distribution requirements.
• Own the regional supply planning process including capacity planning, inventory deployment, replenishment, and risk mitigation.
• Lead monthly Supply Review processes within the IBP framework ensuring alignment of demand, supply, inventory, and financial plans.
• Drive short-term execution through active participation in S&OE, resolving supply constraints and prioritizing customer requirements.
• Develop inventory optimization strategies across facilities and networks to improve service levels, inventory turns, and working capital.
• Collaborate across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Commercial, Finance, and Product Management to remove constraints and improve end-to-end performance.
• Mentor and develop planning professionals and promote Lean/CI initiatives.
