Overview

The Senior Fleet Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, and performance of the company’s fleet and transportation operations across multiple Network Connex locations. This role owns fleet strategy, asset lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization, while serving as the primary subject‑matter expert for fleet, DOT, and FMCSA compliance. The Senior Fleet Manager partners closely with Operations, Safety (TSQ), Human Resources (HR), Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure fleet decisions support business growth, safety, and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Strategy & Asset Lifecycle

• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of all fleet assets, including vehicle specification, acquisition, utilization, maintenance strategy, replacement planning, and disposition
• Establish fleet standards and governance models that ensure consistency, accountability, and scalability across regions and business units
• Align fleet capacity and asset mix with operational demand and long‑term business strategy

Financial Oversight & Cost Control

• Develop and manage fleet operating and capital budgets, ensuring cost discipline and transparency
• Monitor total cost of ownership (TCO), fuel spend, maintenance expense, and utilization metrics, implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste
• Lead vendor negotiations for vehicle purchases, leases, maintenance programs, fuel programs, and related services

Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

• Serve as the organization’s fleet compliance authority, ensuring adherence to DOT, FMCSA, CDL, and related regulatory requirements
• Partner with the Vice President of TSQ to analyze driver behavior, identify risk trends, and assign corrective training programs
• Oversee accident investigations, claims coordination, and corrective action plans to reduce repeat incidents and exposure
• Ensure fleet documentation, driver
