Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician focused on electrical systems for a healthcare facility. This role supports critical patient care environments with preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of complex building systems.

The position follows a Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule with a predictable weekend rotation every fifth weekend. Strong electrical expertise, quality focus, and teamwork are essential to maintain safe, compliant operations in a busy facility.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school with 2–3 years of related experience; combination of education and experience also considered.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet physical requirements; valid driver’s license.
  • Proficient in using standard procedures to solve routine problems and to analyze information.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
  • Inspect installations for safety and code compliance; diagnose and repair issues.
  • Assist with installation or modification of equipment and systems as needed.
  • Lead by example and adhere to CBRE RISE values and standardized procedures.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Assign work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Impact the quality of own work.
  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr. Maintenance Technician position is $26.92 per hour and the maximum salary for the Sr. Maintenance Technician position is $34.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
