Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure seamless operation of a major financial client's critical facilities in Cincinnati. The role involves preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems, diagnosing issues, and coordinating with teams to minimize downtime.

You'll work Monday–Friday 3:00 PM–11:30 PM with rotating Saturday shifts approx every six weeks, including on-call weeks for after-hours needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; trade school preferred for hands-on maintenance.
• 1–2 years of job-related experience acceptable; combination of education and experience considered.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Perform general commercial facilities maintenance, including plumbing repairs, light electrical work, and other routine building upkeep to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Conduct regular checks on facility assets, including doors, electrical systems, HVAC units, and plumbing fixtures.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.

This dynamic role requires a dedicated professional to maintain optimal conditions, troubleshoot various building systems, and perform essential preventative maintenance. Your proactive approach and problem-solving abilities will be key to minimizing downtime and supporting a high-stakes financial environment. The primary work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with some flexibility. You'll also participate in a rotational Saturday shift approximately every six weeks, which initiates your on-call week, providing vital support for urgent after-hours needs. What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Valid Driver’s License Required.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position is $28.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position is $32.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits:
