Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a healthcare client, ensuring critical facility systems operate reliably. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and on-call support, working Monday to Friday day shifts to minimize downtime and protect patient care.

You will diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, review work orders, and ensure safety and code compliance while leveraging MS Office tools for reporting and tracking.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school; 1–2 years related experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Able to meet physical demands including lifting 50 lbs+ and climbing stairs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and perform repairs.
  • Handle general commercial facilities maintenance including plumbing and light electrical work to ensure safe operations.
  • Inspect facility assets (doors, electrical, HVAC, plumbing) for safety and codes compliance.
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Perform general commercial facilities maintenance, including plumbing repairs, light electrical work, and other routine building upkeep to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Conduct regular checks on facility assets, including doors, electrical systems, HVAC units, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Valid Driver’s License Required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

The minimum salary for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position is $20.19 per hour and the maximum salary for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position is $28.85 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
