Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. in Sebree, KY seeks an experienced Industrial Maintenance Supervisor for 2nd shift. You will plan and supervise maintenance across all equipment, coordinate with contractors and engineering, and ensure OSHA compliance while training a team on safe, efficient operations.

The role requires 3+ years in maintenance, familiarity with ammonia/refrigeration systems, and Tyson Level 8 training is preferred. Background checks and relocation approvals may apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
• Experience with Anhydrous Ammonia, Mechanical Refrigeration, and High-Pressure Boiler maintenance preferred.
• Completion of Tyson Level 8 training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise cost-effective, timely maintenance for all equipment.
• Direct, coordinate, and support maintenance personnel.
• Work with contractors/vendors or engineering to modify or install equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve new technical problems with equipment.
• Maintain records and ensure OSHA standards and programs are implemented.
• Instruct on PPE use and suggest ergonomic improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management standards.
• Develop team members’ skills and performance.
• Manage High Pressure Boiler, Refrigeration, Hot Water, and HVAC systems maintenance.
• Coordinate team schedules, attendance, and safety meetings.

Job Details: SUMMARY: This position may be responsible for any of the following duties: planning and supervising the execution of cost effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of all equipment. This includes:

• Directing, coordinating, and supporting maintenance personnel
• Working with contractors, vendors, or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment
• Troubleshooting and resolving new and or different technical problems regarding equipment
• Maintaining relevant records and ensuring OSHA standards and programs are implemented
• Instructing in the use of personal protective equipment; and implementing new ways of improving ergonomics within the facility
• Maintaining compliance with Process, Safety Management, Standards
• Skill development of team members
• High Pressure Boiler, Compressed Air System, Hot Water Generation, and HVAC systems management and maintenance
• Coordinating Team Member schedules handling time and attendance records holding monthly safety meetings and performing other responsibilities as assigned

Education:

Education beyond high school including special training vocational school and or college courses. Completion of the Tyson Level 8 training in the MT or ERT program is preferred.

Experience:

3 plus years experience in Industrial Maintenance preferred. Experience with Anhydrous Ammonia, Mechanical Refrigeration, and High-Pressure Boiler maintenance and management is preferred.

Computer Skills:

Elementary computer skills; for example checking electronic mail entering data into document templates or creating simple queries.

Travel:

1 to 5 trips per year.

Supervisory Skills:

This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
