Your role
Scope and Purpose of Position

This position focuses on repair/corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance of production and laboratory instruments, machines, and equipment in a drug and medical device manufacturing environment. Flexibility with work schedule is required to meet goals and tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on production and laboratory equipment according to procedures.
  • Perform routine and non-routine corrective maintenance on equipment related to production, laboratory, and other functions.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to determine root causes, and prevent recurrence.
  • Perform equipment repairs using aseptic techniques in clean rooms.
  • Support Engineering on specific projects.
  • Organize, track, and update all maintenance records; enter data into Event Manager promptly.
  • Troubleshoot PLC problems with Engineering and perform repairs.
  • Provide mechanical and electrical/electronic support to facilities and equipment.
  • Evaluate maintenance procedures and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain R/O water units for sanitization and optimization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Your profile
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency with test equipment, multimeters, probes, micrometers, dial indicators.
  • Ability to work independently in a cGMP environment.
  • Ability to read P&ID diagrams, sketches, and instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Electrical diagnosis and repair skills, including AC and DC systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting PLC systems and interpret ladder logic.
  • Organized with attention to detail in maintenance records.
  • Experience with maintenance of instruments like autoclaves, steam generators, ovens, water systems.
  • Preferred familiarity with de-gassing and electronic De-Ionization systems.
  • Refrigerant license is a plus.
  • PC literate, familiar with maintenance software and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical, electronics, calibration, and maintenance software.
Required Education and Experience
  • Associate/Technical Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years as maintenance tech or similar.
  • Pharmaceutical/medical device experience is preferred.
  • Hazmat Emergency Responder Certification is a plus.
