Job summary

Maris Grove, a continuing care retirement community in Glen Mills, PA, is seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair apartments and common areas. You will train staff, oversee the condition of your neighborhood, and act as a technical resource to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a residential apartment complex, construction, or commercial building maintenance.
• Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances. Should have a working knowledge of HVAC.
• Will be expected to work a reasonable amount of scheduled and “on-call” overtime as necessary.
• Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must possess current EPA certification to handle refrigerants.

Responsibilities

• Perform necessary maintenance of HVAC equipment as assigned.
• Perform all necessary scheduled preventive maintenance procedures on designated equipment while following manufacturer’s recommendation.
• Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure.
• Serve as the lead mechanic in assigned area(s) and will be responsible for the overall condition of the neighborhood(s).

Job description

Location: Maris Grove by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as a Senior Maintenance Mechanic, where you'll efficiently troubleshoot and repair apartments and public areas. You will train staff on maintenance techniques, oversee the condition of your assigned neighborhood, and serve as a technical resource for the team, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.

Compensation: Starts at $29.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
