Join our dynamic S&T team as Laboratory Technician! We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative individual to spearhead analysis of flour, dough, sauce and related products within our state-of-the-art laboratory. This role will play a vital part in shaping the future of food science, particularly in the characterization of dough and sauces. As aS&T Lab Technician, you willperform analysis and maintain accurate records to support research and development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample Preparation and Analysis:
    • Prepare samples of flour, dough, sauce and other ingredients or finished products for testing.
    • Analyze chemical and physical properties using various equipment and techniques.
    • Record and document test results accurately.
    • Identify and address any deviations or issues in analysis.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
    • Perform routine maintenance of equipment and up-keeping of laboratory workspace.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of all tests, analyses, and results.
    • Prepare reports and summaries of test findings.
  • Research and Development:
    • Assist with research and development activities related to flour and dough products.
    • Take part in Global Food laboratory community's scientific meetings and embrace digital ways of working.
    • Collaborate in developing new testing methods and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field (e.g., food science, baking, chemistry, biology) is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to perform routine laboratory tests and analyses with accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Experience in using Microsoft Office tools and SharePoint or other document management systems.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and practices.
    • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a laboratory setting (chemical or physical analysis) is preferred.
    • Experience with specific testing methods and equipment relevant to flour and dough analysis is a plus.
