Job summary

Aakaasa Technologies seeks a Senior AVEVA PI Administrator to support and enhance the PI Data Historian infrastructure for Electric and Gas Control Center operations. The role focuses on architecture, administration, integration, and continuous improvement of a large-scale PI environment with high availability.

The candidate will lead PI System projects, implement HA/DR across Data Archive, AF, and Vision, and develop dashboards using PI SDK, AF SDK, and PowerShell.

Qualifications

• Senior AVEVA PI Administrator responsible for enterprise PI Data Historian infrastructure.
• Experience with high-availability infrastructure and OT integrations.
• Ability to lead architecture, administration, integration, and continuous improvement of PI systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and 24x7 operational mindset.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ServiceNow is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement PI Data Archive HA/DR and PI AF HA/DR.
• Implement PI Vision HA/DR and related PI interfaces.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Senior AVEVA PI Administrator to support and enhance the PI Data Historian infrastructure for Electric and Gas Control Center operations. This role is responsible for the architecture, administration, integration, support, and continuous improvement of a large-scale enterprise PI environment supporting critical operational systems. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System technologies, high-availability infrastructure, operational technology integrations, and enterprise analytics solutions. This position requires strong technical leadership, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a highly available 24x7 operational environment.

Hybrid work environment requires 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), 2 days remote (Monday, Friday).

Job Description -

• Creation/modification and maintenance of Enterprise PI system with 1.5M PI tags and more
• o o Implementing PI Data Archive HA & DR
• o o Implementing PI AF HA & DR
• o o Implementing PI Vision HA & DR
• o o PI AF Element templates and AF Elements
• o o PI based dashboards (PI Vision/Process Book)
• o o PI AF Analytics, PI Notifications and PI Event Frames

• Design, develop and commission PI Dashboards, BI reports and bespoke applications using Aveva/Osisoft PI System Access technologies such as PI SDK, AF SDK, PI OLEDB, Powershell, etc.
• Ensuring high availability of all PI infrastructure that supports enterprise Systems
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure, identify root cause issues, and a mindset for physical and cyber safety.
• Integrating enterprise business systems with Aveva/OsiSoft PI software.
• support, maintenance, architecture, and development of PI Data Historian infrastructure supporting Distribution Electric, Gas and Steam Control Centers.
• configuration, coding, and testing related to PI Data Historian including but not limited to:
• managing technical aspects of assigned projects, including planning, and resolving application issues.
• Respond to system alerts 24x7x365 on a scheduled basis to resolve issues and ensure application availability.
• Design and develop code for Control Center applications as required.
• Responsible for ensuring the continuous availability of the OSI PI Historian for Distribution Electric, Gas and Steam Control Centers by implementing system enhancement, monitoring server status, and responding to alerts.
• Periodically review and update procedures and Disaster Recovery documents related to the PI Historian infrastructure, and other associated systems such as OMS and SCADA.
• Good knowledge of ITIL processes and experience in support activities.
• Knowledge of ITIL tools like ServiceNow
• Communicate effectively with sponsors, stakeholders and team members.
• Reports on project status, issues, key activities and any changes to the charter of the overall project.
• Identifies and communicates resource conflicts.
• Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Programming skills:

Interpersonal Skills -
