Our client is located in Northwest Houston and is looking to add a Sr. IT Cyber Security Project Manager to their team, focusing heavily on Security. This role requires a Cyber Security IT PM knowledgeable in cyber security processes and procedures. This is a YEAR-LONG CONTRACT role that offers a primarily REMOTE schedule.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure ongoing project success using the Triple Constraint method to proactively address changes to scope, cost, and time.
2. Regularly evaluate project metrics leveraging Project Management Institute (PMI) schedule and financial reporting methods.
3. Conduct impact analysis to manage change using standard Change Management techniques.
4. Develop and manage risk mitigation and contingency strategies.
5. Mobilize, plan, and execute multiple large and complex IT projects simultaneously, ensuring all aspects—from planning to execution—are handled efficiently.
6. Proactively manage shifting stakeholder expectations and coordinate with various departments to ensure a cohesive approach to cybersecurity.

Required:

• Strong IT Cyber Security project experience.
• Proven track record of managing complex IT projects, including project health & financials.
• 8 years of experience managing projects and/or programs.
• PMP certification – strongly preferred.
• A bachelor's or advanced degree in an IT-related field.
• Experience with Waterfall or hybrid delivery frameworks (Agile-only experience is not directly applicable).
• Strong technical knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threats, and solutions.
• Experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity project plans and strategies.
• Ability to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies.
• Evaluation of the effectiveness of security measures and recommendations for improvements.
