Job summary

CFS in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Sr Inventory Planning Analyst to coordinate materials for production by working with overseas teams on shipping and lead times to meet demand.

You will use ERP/MRP systems and Excel to manage purchase orders and inventory data; collaborate with sales, manufacturing, logistics, and quality teams; analyze disruptions and drive corrective actions; monitor supplier performance and contribute to continuous improvement and demand planning.

Qualifications

• Experience working cross-functionally with sales.
• Proficient in complex Excel formulas and ERP systems.
• Distribution or manufacturing sector experience.

Responsibilities

• Use ERP and MRP systems as well as Excel to enter purchase order data, track procurement activities, and maintain accurate records.
• Sr Inventory Planning Analyst is working with the Sales department to assess what inventory is on hand, and how to plan for the future.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, logistics, quality management, and project teams to coordinate procurement efforts that support production planning and materials management.
• Perform root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or vendor issues to implement corrective actions swiftly.
• Monitor supplier performance through supplier management experience metrics, fostering continuous improvement in supply chain management practices.
• Work with KPI’s and Demand Planning
