Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking an Audit professional to join our Internal Audit team in the Malvern, PA area. The role focuses on fieldwork, data analytics, and risk-based recommendations across manufacturing and supporting functions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of audit/controls experience, strong communication with senior leaders, and the ability to travel ~25% to plant locations. Saint-Gobain emphasizes integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting strongly preferred).
• 3–5 years Internal or External audit, or Internal Controls experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience with data analytics, visualization, process mining, or similar tools.
• Ability to synthesize complex information and present risk-based solutions.
• Willingness to travel 25% (1 week a month).

Responsibilities

• Audit fieldwork: interviews, testing, walkthroughs, data analytics, and process reviews with proper evidence.
• Develop clear observations and risk-based, practical recommendations.
• Present observations to management and validate findings.
• Support follow-up until recommendations are implemented.

Beyond audits, the team conducts cross-business reviews on strategic topics identified with the Group Executive Committee, bringing perspectives and benchmarking insights from across Saint-Gobain’s global operations. We also organize and present at internal events throughout the year to promote stronger risk management and internal control practices across the organization.

This role offers unique exposure to diverse businesses, meaningful interactions with senior leaders, and the opportunity to contribute directly to the performance and long-term success of Saint-Gobain.

Audit Fieldwork

• Audit cycles are 4 weeks in duration, with 1 week requiring travel to the assigned plant location
• Independently perform interviews, testing, walkthroughs, data analytics, and process reviews, gathering relevant, reliable and sufficient evidence to support conclusions
• Maintain professional objectivity, confidentiality and due professional care.
• Assess how key risks are managed and whether controls effectively mitigate those risks.
• Adapt audit work based on risk levels and control environment maturity.
• Discuss observations with management and validate findings.

Reporting & Recommendations

• Develop clear, concise, and evidence-based audit observations.
• Contribute to audit reports and presentations by performing root cause analysis, assessing, assessing business impacts, and proposing practical, risk-based recommendations.
• Present observations related to assigned workstreams when appropriate.

Action Plan Follow-Up

• Support follow-up activities until recommendations are effectively implemented.

Cross-Functional Reviews & Knowledge Sharing

• Participate in cross-business reviews on strategic topics identified by Group leadership.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies, risk assessment practices, and internal control tools.
• Support workshops, conferences, and training sessions that promote risk management, internal control awareness, and the sharing of best practices across Saint-Gobain

Is this job for you ?

• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting is strongly preferred)
• 3-5 years Internal or External audit, or Internal Controls experience, preferably applied to manufacturing industry
• Previous experience with data analytic tools, visualization, process mining, or similar analytical tools
• Ability to synthesize complex information and identify practical, risk-based solutionsStrong verbal and written communication skills, including interaction with senior leaders
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly to new business environments
• Ability to travel 25% (1 week a month)
• Saint-Gobain Internal Controls Certification is a plus
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus
