Sr. Interior Designer

National architecture and engineering firm is looking for a talented Senior Interior Designer to join their growing St. Louis studio. This position will lead the completion of client projects by planning and implementing interior design solutions.

The Role…

1. Client Satisfaction and Design Vision: Develop an optimal design solution that meets client needs and upholds the company's quality standards. Present design solutions to clients.
2. Project Management: Manage all aspects of projects including proposals, exhibits, contracts, budgets, and profitability. Maintain professional communication with clients, project teams, and consultants.
3. Design Standards and Documentation: Ensure compliance with design standards, visualization, local codes, and guidelines. Create and manage construction documents and specifications in line with standards and regulations.
4. Project Goals and Profitability: Focus on project success and overall profitability.
5. Mentorship and Team Development: Mentor junior designers, participate in performance reviews, and share knowledge within the firm.
6. Professional Development and Community Involvement: Continue developing design skills, pursue education opportunities, and participate in local design community activities.
7. Client Relations and Additional Duties: Promote the company's reputation through good client relations and perform other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for…

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design
• 8+ years of professional interior design experience, preferably in healthcare science, technology, or higher education sectors
• Proficiency in Revit
• Strong conceptual and design skills
• Experience with mid to large scale projects
• Excellent communication skills
• NCIDQ Certification (preferred)
• Leadership qualities and attention to detail
• Strategic thinking and ownership mentality
