Position Overview

The Sr. Instructional Designer (ID) is a key member of our Learning & Development team. The Sr. ID collaborates with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, program owners, and learning professionals to design and develop innovative learning solutions. These solutions utilize various learning modalities to enhance the learner experience, learning effectiveness, and business impact. The Sr. ID leverages instructional design techniques to create in-person, virtual, and eLearning content, providing expertise and mentorship to junior designers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Partner with Program Owners & Business Leaders to select optimal learning modalities and design solutions that drive capability development and business outcomes - 40%
• Develop medium to high complexity learning experiences (e.g., instructor-led training sessions, eLearning, performance support, videos) to address capability gaps - 40%
• Provide consultation on best practices for creating learning experiences and leveraging standards & templates - 15%
• Perform other duties as assigned - 5%

Qualifications

Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Advanced proficiency with eLearning and video development software (e.g., Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate 360). Proficiency with graphic design, animation, and audio tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Audacity). Experience in instructional design, needs assessment, and stakeholder collaboration. Knowledge of adult learning theories and methodologies. Strong project management, communication, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Certifications such as CPTD, APTD, or ATD Master Instructional Designer are preferred.
