Job summary
Crunchyroll seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Infrastructure Engineering team in California. You will design, build, and scale edge infrastructure and cloud networking for our streaming platform, driving IaC and secure, high-performance traffic delivery at a global scale.
You will collaborate across teams, own on-call rotations, and mentor engineers while embracing DevOps best practices and modern tooling.
Qualifications
- At least a Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar.
- 8+ years of production-level experience with at least 5 years engineering edge infrastructure and networks as a DevOps/SRE.
- Proficient in AWS cloud technologies with IaC such as Pulumi and Terraform.
- Experience managing global traffic via Cloudflare or other traffic manager, including DNS, CDN, and load balancing.
- Secure cloud-native environments using Cloudflare tools (WAF, DDoS mitigation, Zero Trust).
- Ability to analyze Cloudflare traffic patterns and troubleshoot global delivery issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage and scale edge infrastructure and networking for streaming platform.
- Lead projects with Infrastructure Engineering and delivery teams; ensure best practices.
- Oversee traffic management, DNS, CDN, and secure edge delivery.
- Automate and implement IaC; promote DevOps and GitOps practices.
- Collaborate across teams and mentor engineers; participate in on-call rotations.
