Job summary

Crunchyroll is hiring a Staff Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the Center for Data & Insights in the US. You will lead reliability, security, and scalability for consumer data platforms, champion SRE practices, and partner with Engineering, Data, Infrastructure, Product, and Security teams.

You will design and operate cloud-native systems, drive observability, incident management, automation, capacity planning, and disaster recovery while advancing SecOps capabilities and vulnerability

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in SRE/Platform/Infrastructure engineering with production systems.
• Deep Kubernetes and GCP expertise for scalable, reliable platforms.
• Terraform and IaC experience with automation and standardization.
• Strong Linux, networking, and distributed systems skills for troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or Shell focused on automation.
• Hands-on observability using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog.

Responsibilities

• Define and measure CDI platform reliability with SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Lead incident management, RCA, and postmortems across teams.
• Build and evolve monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting capabilities.
• Develop automation and self-service tooling to reduce toil.
• Drive platform scalability, IAM, and IaC adoption for reliability.
