Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure Engineering, to help build and evolve the core infrastructure behind large-scale software systems. This remote role partners with engineering, data science, and product teams to translate business needs into reliable technical solutions and to shape foundational backend services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building internet-scale software, ideally with a focus on machine learning storage infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Golang, Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure technologies like Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with distributed messaging systems, including feature implementation and optimizations.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with engineering, data science, and product teams.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle for major product initiatives, from design through rollout.
• Design and evaluate A/B experiments to inform engineering decisions based on user behavior.
• Develop and maintain scalable APIs and backend services for optimal performance.
• Establish engineering best practices and mentor team members to improve workflows.
