About the Role

You are a strategic thinker with a passion for driving growth and enhancing partner and customer engagement through targeted marketing strategies. With your extensive industry experience, you have a deep understanding of key buyers and influencers, their concerns, pain points, and buying processes. Your approach is data-driven, as you back up your strategic insights with solid market evidence, crafting positioning and messaging that resonate with buyers in our target industries. This empowers our sales team to position Intermedia’s solutions as indispensable.

Creating an industry solution requires strong collaboration with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams, and you have a proven track record of building and nurturing these partnerships successfully. You are hardworking, resourceful, and innovative, always thinking outside the box to drive measurable results. In this role, you will be pivotal in solution launch management, campaign development, sales enablement, and partnership collaboration. This position is ideal for someone passionate about shaping the future of industry marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and execute vertical marketing strategies for prioritized industries, including healthcare, legal, retail, financial services, and more.
  • Align marketing initiatives with corporate objectives and sales goals.
  • Industry Insights and Messaging:
  • Conduct market research to understand industry-specific challenges, trends, and buyer behaviors.
  • Monitor competitive players in given industries and document Intermedia’s strengths and weaknesses.
  • Create compelling messaging and positioning tailored to the unique needs of each industry.
  • Solution Launch Management:
  • Develop and execute GTM plans to accompany vertical-specific launches with a firm understanding of how Intermedia’s unique product portfolio creates values for the target audience.
  • Campaign Development:
  • Design and oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, events, and content through our channel partner ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with content and creative teams to produce whitepapers, case studies, videos, and other assets.
  • Partner with sales enablement and sales teams to develop training materials, pitch decks, and tools for effective industry-specific outreach.
  • Act as a subject matter expert during sales presentations and partner/customer engagements.
  • Work closely with channel partners and channel marketing to launch industry practices within key verticals.
  • Performance Tracking:
  • Establish KPIs and report on the effectiveness of industry marketing initiatives.
  • Continuously optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B digital marketing, product marketing, and/or product management with at least 3 years focused on industry/vertical marketing.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in premise and/or cloud-based telecom and contact center solutions especially if the experience is in a Product Marketing role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful vertical-specific marketing strategies.
  • Adept at juggling many projects at once, working cross-functionally, while never losing site of the core message and goal behind your work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills --- there is a heavy amount of writing and presenting/selling ideas in this role. Prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity. This role requires you to work across functions and departments to bring to life to our vertical solution.
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions.
  • Play a role in the delivery of training and sales tools to our reps to help them be more efficient and effective.
  • A deep understanding of proper messaging and PR best practices, along with a creative spark to develop innovative content that stands out among the noise.
  • Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data through testing and optimization.
  • Proficiency in CRM, marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot), and analytics tools.
