Job summary

CoorsTek invites an experienced Sr. Industrial Engineer to join our advanced ceramics manufacturing team. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and staff to understand capabilities, improve process flow, and maximize productivity across the facility.

In this role, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost OEE, analyze production specs, and apply Lean, TOC and Six Sigma methodologies. Strong math, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Industrial Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
• A minimum of five years of Industrial Engineering experience implementing/applying Lean, TOC, Six Sigma or other TQM process improvement methodologies in a manufacturing environment.
• Black Belt certification a plus
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, preferably MFG/PRO.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques, Theory of Constraints, and traditional manufacturing practices.
• Hands-on experience with Process Simulation software is desired.
• Performs detail-oriented tasks utilizing very high math skills and very effective communication skills.
• Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Confer with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, engineering specifications, process flow and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services.
• Determine how to manufacture parts or products to deliver services and maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Lead projects to improve OEE, including workforce productivity, equipment utilization, yield and cycle time improvements.
• Analyze new production specifications to determine equipment, tooling, processes and human resource requirements.
• Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
• Assist in financial planning and cost analysis.
• Collaborates in the resolution of production issues on a global basis.

Job Title

Sr. Industrial Engineer
