Job summary

Central Transport is seeking a terminal supervisor at our Lincoln, RI location to oversee inbound operations and drive on-time performance. You will manage up to 15 local LTL drivers and dock staff, ensuring safe loading and efficient dispatch in a dynamic environment.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a high aptitude for technology, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound operations for your designated section of the terminal dock.
• Manage up to 15 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a production schedule.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring cube and weight of trailers.
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers, dock workers and dock hand.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility KPI goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Monitor hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.

Salary: Up to $75,000 + bonus Shift: 10:00am - 8:00pm, Monday-Friday LOCATION: 606 George Washington Hwy, Lincoln, RI 02865

Duties include, but are not limited to: Oversee inbound operations for your designated section of the terminal dock This includes the process of loading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing the proper unloading of palletized freight. Manage up to 15 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule. Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers, dock workers and dock hand. Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded. Monitor hours and overtime. Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards. Ensure company operational model compliance. Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
