Job summary

ELEVI is seeking a Data Center Technician to support daily data center operations, BIOS management, and coordination with customers for maintenance tasks. You will work with PowerEdge servers and iDRAC in a large-scale environment, ensuring accurate documentation of serials, elevations, and runbooks.

The role requires hands-on Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu) and experience in a sizable data center. ELEVI offers competitive compensation and a broad benefits package designed to support

Qualifications

• Experience with Dell PowerEdge servers and hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with iDRAC for remote server management and monitoring.
• Hands-on administration of RHEL and Ubuntu operating systems.
• Proven experience working in a large data center or enterprise server environment.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day data center activities.
• Proactively monitor environment and alert customers of issues.
• Escort dispatched field personnel when needed.
• Manage LOIS parts and coordinate with Dell for FSE break/fix activities.
• Assist BIOS lifecycle management and user administration.
• Coordinate with customers for maintenance activities and document runbooks.

Job description

You will need to have these skills to Join our Team PowerEdge Rack/Tower Experience, IDRAC experience , RHEL and Ubuntu OS, Experience working in a larger server environment

Project Tasks

• Support day to day data center activities
• Proactively walk the data center through the day, watching/alerting customer of amber lights, "hot" doors etc.
• Escort dispatched field engineers (when applicable)
• LOIS parts management (will be trained once onsite)
• Triage with Dell support for scheduling FSE break/fix activities
• Performs BIOS lifecycle management, adding users, patching
• Coordinate with customer for any maintenance activities: power maintenance, cooling maintenance, containment wall maintenance, etc.
• Maintain documentation of the environment: serial numbers, elevations, runbooks, etc.

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
