Primary Function
Designs, implements, and monitors a variety of human resource programs. Anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management.This position will be working across a broad scope of client groups including two remote distribution centers and our non-manufacturing side of the business providing support to salaried exempt, salaried non-exempt, and hourly workforce.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in prescreening candidates, assisting interviewing candidates, and working with hiring managers to set up onboarding schedule.
- Attending job fairs and recruitment events.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for employee questions, concerns, suggestions, and needs.
- Coach front-line supervisors through employee relations and performance management issues. Issue corrective actions as needed up to 2nd written warning level.
- Ensuring the company complies with labor laws and following HR policies.
- Administer and conduct employee alert line investigations.
- Track data and/or consolidate responses as requested and follow-up with others as needed to obtain information and identify insights.
- Coaching conversations with supervisors in order to meet goals of development and career conversation metrics.
- Facilitate and coordinate special HR projects and initiatives under the direction of the HR Manager
- Supervisory responsibility over 2 direct reports.
- Serves as a resource and advocate for employee questions, concerns, suggestions, and needs.
- Partners with site functional teams to foster a culture of mutual trust and respect, maintaining the site's positive culture.
- Proactively addresses any potential issues, involving the appropriate stakeholders and driving issues to closure.
- Perform other activities as needed or as directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5 years of related work experience
- 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor message based on audience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to build strong relationships and achieve results working with others
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to stay on top of daily issues and move projects forward in parallel
Additional Qualifications:
- PHR and /or SPHR certification preferred
- Proficiency with HR Systems (Employee Central, Success Factors, SAP, Kronos/UKG preferred).
