Westlake Chemical is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to lead and coordinate HR activities at the Deer Park Epoxy plant. You will support performance management, employee relations, policy communication, and training programs, while partnering with managers on labor relations and the union relationship.
The role requires strong HR generalist experience in industrial or manufacturing settings, and a TWIC card; located in Deer Park, TX with occasional travel.

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for leading, coordinating, and supporting human resources activities at the site level for Deer Park Epoxy plant. Activities include performance management, resolution of employee issues, communication of corporate policies and procedures, overseeing and/or providing training and educational programs, supporting management in the formulation and administration of labor relations policies, managing the union relationship at the Deer Park site, and partnering with/advising managers/supervisors on human resources matters.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units, which can require usage of required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require the use of stairs and elevators. Travel, including air travel or auto travel, may occasionally be required.
