Westlake Chemical Corporation seeks an HR Business Partner II to coordinate and support plant management HR activities at the Brownsville facility. You will resolve employee issues, communicate corporate policies, provide training, and support management in non-union plant environments.
You will counsel managers on discipline, terminations, and employee development while ensuring compliance with HR policies, compensation and benefits programs. Travel to related sites may be required.
The Human Resources Business Partner II is responsible for coordinating and supporting plant management human resources activities at the manufacturing facility(ies). Activities include resolution of employee issues, communication of corporate policies and procedures, providing training and educational programs; supporting management in union avoidance tactics for non-union plants, counseling with managers/supervisors on significant discipline and termination decisions for employees.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
