Job description

Overview

The Sr. Systems Analyst is responsible for partnering with HR, IT, Payroll and other business functions to to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities. This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact for day-to-day operations and assists with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Manages projects and process improvement(s) – recommending, planning and implementing
  • Utilizing strong customer service skills, conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains HR and business practitioners on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of usage and practical applications of all HR Systems (HRIS (UKG UltiPro), Recruiting (iCIMS), etc.
  • Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HR system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with payroll, IT and other technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintains HR system tables. Documents process and results.
  • Provides production support, including researching and resolving HR Systems issues, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in HR Systems with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increases both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge.
  • Participates in user group meetings/conferences.
  • Backup resource for day-to-day support of the HR Systems in-box.
  • Able to leverage AI to create innovative and efficient process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Strong customer service skills for both our external and internal customers
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with UKG Ultipro strongly preferred. Experience with iCIMS, Oracle, BI Analytics tools, preferred.
  • Understands and uses qualitative/quantitative measurement and data collection design principles.
  • Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions to issues that arise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management using the spoken and written word.
  • Ability to negotiate and persuade to influence others towards achieving defined goal
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple assignments

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

Minimum 5+ years working in a multi-matrixed company within a complex HR Systems environment.

Able to leverage AI to create innovative and efficient process improvements.
