Opportunity with a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Manufacturer in Chicago

LaSalle Network has partnered with a longstanding Chicago-based CPG manufacturer to lead HR strategy and execution at their DeKalb manufacturing facility.

We are seeking an experienced Sr. HR Manager responsible for maintaining and enhancing the HR team by planning, implementing, and evaluating labor relations, employee relations, recruitment, and HR policies, programs, and practices.

Sr. HR Manager Responsibilities:

1. Lead and develop the plant HR team, including workforce planning, budget management, and performance management.
2. Partner with employees at all levels to provide expertise and counseling on HR issues.
3. Establish and maintain a positive employee relations environment, administer policies, develop issue resolution processes, and participate in HR organizations.
4. Collaborate with plant management to develop and communicate strategic plans, culture, and goals.
5. Manage benefits programs, enroll new hires, assist with open enrollment, and address benefits questions.
6. Guide HR processes including workforce planning, reviews, performance and succession planning, compensation, and organizational change.

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
• 8+ years HR experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution, managing hourly employees.
• Experience with high-volume, full-cycle staffing in a 24-hour facility.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR practices.
