This position is responsible for coordinating the daily functions of the Human Resources Team with prior experience as a Specialist and more project level and supervisor responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions/Principal Accountabilities
- Assist and observe in various training programs to ensure compliance with McLane Company training practices and federal laws.
- Facilitate mandatory harassment/substance abuse training, safety, and arrange special classes for teammates.
- Maintain records related to logo clothing, relocation, FMLA, workers compensation, safety investigations, documentation, reporting, and evacuation plans.
- Coordinate special events such as CMN, United Way, teammate parties, etc.
- Support HR Manager as needed.
- Ensure the employment process complies with legal guidelines and that each applicant is treated fairly and consistently.
- Manage requisitions and develop recruitment strategies with managers (advertisements, internet).
- Coordinate and attend career fairs, review applications and resumes, communicate with applicants, check references, and verify employment.
- Advise supervisors on hiring procedures, arrange pre-employment paperwork and orientation, and maintain Jobs Inbox.
- Maintain teammate morale through open communication and policy interpretation.
- Coordinate teammate meetings, facilitate New Hire Orientation, and interact with teammates and managers daily.
Minimum Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of experience with working knowledge of Human Resources.
- Hands-on experience in training and coaching in diverse environments.
- Knowledge of safety practice guidelines.
- Proficiency with office automation tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems diplomatically.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, policies, and business practices.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
- Commitment to organizational success and sound decision-making.
