Job summary

Ascendo-Resources is assisting a mission-driven nonprofit in Long Island City, NY, to hire a Sr. HR Generalist for a 3+ month, temp-to-perm assignment. This 100% onsite role offers $35–$45/hr and a Mon–Fri schedule, starting immediately.

You will manage day-to-day HR operations, handle employee relations and high-volume recruiting for 11–13 roles plus internships, support onboarding/offboarding and benefits, assist payroll using Paychex HCM, and maintain HR records and reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR Generalist experience.
• Strong employee relations and high-volume recruiting experience.
• Payroll, benefits, onboarding/offboarding experience.
• Paychex HCM strongly preferred.
• Organized, tech-savvy, and thorough documentation.
• Independent work in a demanding, high-turnover environment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
