Senior HR Generalist

Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad.

Position Summary:

Saber Power Services is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to partner with leaders and the HR team in strengthening and scaling the company's HR function. This role combines hands‑on HR support with the opportunity to develop, implement, administer, and continuously improve HR programs, processes, and systems that support a growing organization.

The Senior HR Generalist will play a key role in advancing initiatives such as performance management, employee learning, workforce analytics, and HR process improvement while remaining actively engaged in the day‑to‑day delivery of HR services. Working collaboratively across the organization, this position will help translate HR strategy into practical, scalable solutions that align with Saber's culture, business objectives, and continued growth.

Success in this role requires curiosity, sound judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thoughtfully guide organizational change. The ideal candidate enjoys building structure where processes are still evolving, uses data to inform decisions, and can build stakeholder support to help leaders and employees successfully adopt new ways of working.

This position reports to the Senior HR Director. This is a full‑time, in‑office position based at Saber's headquarters in the Clear Lake area of Houston, Texas, and requires minimal travel (up to 10%). This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

HR Programs & Process Improvement

  • Partner with the Senior HR Director to develop, implement, administer, and continuously improve HR programs, policies, and processes that support organizational growth and operational excellence.
  • Assist in developing scalable approaches for performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, employee development, and other talent initiatives as the organization continues to mature.
  • Evaluate existing HR practices and identify opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency, compliance, and the employee experience.
  • Develop process documentation, manager resources, and communications that support successful implementation of HR initiatives.
  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and help implement practical solutions.

HR Operations & Employee Support

  • Serve as a trusted day‑to‑day HR resource for employees and managers by providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, promotions, transfers, organizational changes, and offboarding.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, workplace concerns, and investigations as appropriate, escalating complex issues to the Senior HR Director.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to improve recruiting workflows, onboarding processes, and HR systems that enhance the candidate and employee experience.
  • Ensure HR processes are executed consistently while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

HR Systems, Analytics & Reporting

  • Maintain and optimize HR processes within ADP Workforce Now, ensuring data integrity and effective system utilization.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and workforce analytics that provide meaningful insights into workforce trends, talent metrics, and key HR performance indicators.
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and support data‑informed business decisions.
  • Partner with the Senior HR Director to define and monitor key HR metrics that measure organizational progress and program success.
  • Support reporting automation and data visualization using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.

Learning, Organizational Development & Change Management

  • Coordinate the administration of employee training and development programs, including scheduling, tracking participation, and maintaining learning records.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of leadership development and talent management initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to successfully implement new HR programs and processes by developing communication plans, gathering feedback, addressing concerns, and supporting adoption across the organization.
  • Help evaluate program effectiveness and recommend enhancements based on business needs, participant feedback, and organizational priorities.
  • Contribute to change management efforts by building stakeholder alignment, encouraging adoption, and reinforcing sustainable improvements in the way work is performed.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, and at least five (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience demonstrating increasing responsibility across multiple HR disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, improving, or implementing HR programs, processes, or systems that support organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience supporting performance management, employee development, or other talent‑related initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience using HR analytics and workforce data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and support business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, build stakeholder support, and successfully implement organizational change through collaboration and influence rather than formal authority.
  • Experience serving as a trusted HR resource for managers and employees in a growing organization.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
