Job summary

Imperial Brady in City of Industry, CA seeks a Senior HR Generalist to oversee local HR operations, policies, and programs in partnership with Corporate HR. The role focuses on fostering an employee-centered, high-performance culture and supporting recruitment and development across the organization.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, 8+ years of HR leadership, bilingual English/Spanish, and experience with labor relations in unionized facilities. PHR is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Organizational Development, or equivalent; HR/Labor Relations concentration preferred
• PHR certification preferred, not required
• 8+ years progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required
• Labor relations experience in unionized facilities
• Experience managing centralized HR across multiple divisions
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to management and staff on complex, sensitive personnel matters and legal implications; handle delicate HR processes, including reasonable accommodations, misconduct investigations, and terminations
• Foster a positive, employee-focused culture that advances company goals and employee satisfaction through local and company-wide initiatives

• Identify workforce skill gaps and collaborate with local leadership and Corporate HR to implement training programs
• Partner with the HR Area Director and Corporate HR to resolve union grievances and develop and enforce employee disciplinary policies
• Collaborate with local leadership and Corporate HR to identify talent strategies and staffing needs
• Coordinate with Corporate Payroll, Benefits, and HR teams to resolve related issues as needed
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and reporting requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Organizational Development

PHR certification preferred

8+ years leadership experience in HR

Bilingual English/Spanish

Labor relations in unionized facilities

Compensation Range: $90,000 to $100,000

You Will:

• Provide guidance to management and staff on complex, sensitive personnel matters and legal implications; handle delicate HR processes, including reasonable accommodations, misconduct investigations, and terminations
• Foster a positive, employee-focused culture that advances company goals and employee satisfaction through local and company-wide initiatives, including meetings, suggestion programs, surveys, newsletters, focus groups, one-on-one meetings, and the Intranet
• Advise management and staff on complex, sensitive personnel matters and legal implications; manage delicate HR processes, including reasonable accommodations, misconduct investigations, and terminations
• Identify workforce skill gaps and collaborate with local leadership and Corporate HR to implement training programs that strengthen current job performance and prepare employees for advancement
• Partner with the HR Area Director and Corporate HR to resolve union grievances and develop and enforce employee disciplinary policies
• Collaborate with local leadership and Corporate HR to identify talent strategies and staffing needs, partnering with Corporate Talent Acquisition to fill exempt and non-exempt positions
• Coordinate with Corporate Payroll, Benefits, and HR teams to resolve related issues as needed
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and reporting requirements, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, DOL, OSHA, and workers’ compensation regulations

You Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Organizational Development, or equivalent; HR/Labor Relations concentration preferred
• PHR certification preferred, not required
• 8+ years progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required
