Description

The Sr. HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The Sr. HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues, acts as an employee champion and change agent, and assesses HR needs proactively. The Sr. HRBP develops integrated solutions and formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees, reflecting the organization’s objectives.

  • Conduct weekly meetings with respective business units.
  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance as appropriate.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance.
  • Partner with legal as needed; provide day-to-day performance management guidance, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Participate in strategic planning with client groups and internal HR teams (Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Talent Acquisition).
  • Provide guidance on restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Identify training needs and executive coaching requirements.
  • Evaluate and monitor training program success; follow-up to ensure objectives are met.
  • Proactively identify partnership opportunities to foster effective HR-community relationships.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: A thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical, or professional discipline, obtained through a 4-year degree or equivalent specialized training. A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required. All positions are security-sensitive and require a criminal history check. The university is an Equal Opportunity Institution.
