Job Summary:

This role involves providing technical leadership in designing fire protection systems, evaluating safety techniques, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements. Collaboration with engineers and clients is essential.

This position is part-time telework, with at least three days per week in-person at the office or project site, scheduled in consultation with your supervisor.

Major Responsibilities:

• Apply fire safety principles to design structures, systems, and components.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams for fire protection system design, installation, and testing.
• Support development of safety documentation and analyses, including fire hazards analysis and modeling.
• Ensure design and installation meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to validate engineering efforts.
• Review engineering analyses and provide guidance on fire barrier systems and firestops.
• Implement safety programs complying with OSHA, NFPA, and Life Safety Code standards.
• Stay current with building and fire protection codes and regulations.
• Conduct compliance reviews for safety standards and codes.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Knowledge of local/EU fire, life safety, and building codes.
• Familiarity with risk management, UL, FM standards, and quality assurance protocols like ISO-9000.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Preferred: experience on large projects, MS in Fire Protection Engineering, and PE license in the USA.
