Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for the Inbound Finance Insights, Analytics & Automation team in Arlington, VA. You will build analyses, automate reporting, and provide data-driven insights to partners across Finance, Operations, and Tech.

The role requires strong data skills (SQL, Python) and financial acumen to translate large datasets into actionable metrics, supporting cost reductions and informed decision making.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of finance, accounting, or related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, tax, economics, or a related analytical field.
• MBA, or CPA.
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Responsibilities

• Build an understanding of the key drivers of Amazon logistics and the related finance, accounting, and controllership systems and data.
• Bridge knowledge gaps between Finance and Data teams.
• Collect, manage, and analyze financial and operational data using Excel, SQL, and Python.
• Create and automate meaningful metrics, tools, and reports that drive business improvement and cost reductions.
• Use data to perform root cause analysis and uncover core issues for Operations and Finance partners.
• Enable Inbound Finance stakeholders to navigate datasets and dashboards to self-serve their needs.
• Partner with data source providers and tech teams to ensure key decision data is accurate, automated, and timely.
• Coordinate inputs from several stakeholders across multiple documents, with clear communication throughout.
• Manage competing priorities and provide level-headed guidance during unexpected events.
